Mock Job Interviews
Summers Coordinator - MYAC
Experience :
Well, I would have to say that I believed that I didn't do bad and I didn't do my best either. Knowing that I was basically the first one to experience the first mock job interview, I was pretty nervous and unprepared. I never had an interview before for a job. I thought that I kinda, sorta answered most of my questions well. But obviously, I had a lot of stuttering moments and blank moments. I was a really shy person at the time because I wasn't really the type of girl who likes to talk about herself and make myself stand out.
Tips:
- stand up straight when during an interview
- look them in the eyes, makes it look like your interested in listening.
- be confident
- don't be afraid to add a little more details about yourself. Make yourself look awesome!!!!
- make sure your prepared with a resume
- practice. If youre like me and blanks out a lot, a lot of practice with definitely pay off.
DO NOT:
- bribe the interviewer. Hahahaha
- use slang. That is very improper
- use relatives as your reference.
- make the interviewer wait a long period time for a response.
> although I didn't get the job, I am proud of Sammy because she is the only one that gave her resume, which was an in vantage for the interviewer to call her back and let her know that she got the job.
I know what I did wrong, especially when I gave a thank you note!!! I wasn't quite sure how that works!! Haha but I was willing to do it for the bonus. But it's okay, what doesn't kill me, only made me stronger.

2 hour Blackout
LALALALA.. Hi Mr. Hainstock,
I have a question, If you were to not have electricity in your house for a good 2 hours, how would you deal with it?
A few days ago, during the long weekend, im not quiet sure what day it was, but most of Ambertrails and other areas experienced a blackout. It lasted about 2 hours. OH BOY.. it was weird. In my house, basically once everyone is home, there is always someone on the computer or laptop.. watching television or just cooking. When i got home at around 8:30pm from a friends house, i noticed how most of my area was pitch black out. People were just outside while it was drizzling, just flashing people with their flashlights and trying to find any light source they could find. hahaha. It was pretty funny.
In these sort of conditions, my mom usually store candles and a lighter in one drawer in the kitchen. We placed candles all around the house and set up a big lamp that we use for camping in the middle of the living room. When an hour passed by, all my siblings and my mom would talk about how lucky we are to have electricity and how people that dont have any electricity have to basically spend more time together... just like how we were all just sitting in the living room together and just talking. It was weird to me because I never experience this kind of bonding anymore lol.
Mom was also joking about if our food from the refrigerator gets ruined, she wanted to sue the hydro company LOL. No electricity was boring. I wasted my time using the laptop as a charger for my blackberry. I was desperate. Haha!
Well, thats all i pretty much wanted to say. Just wanted to share (:

Im hoping I do well on my history test this Thursday. Mr.Allard is a nice teacher and all..but the people in my class are really boring. They don't really show much respect for him which I feel really bad .. Hahaha. Well I'm done now. Byee

Summer2011
This was by far the best summer I had in years. Why? Because I got to get close with people , especially my family . We got to have a family trip to the states, I got to go camping in alton a with my church and I also got to spend most of my summer at the beach. I had a lot of family bonding time with my family and I'm so blessed to spend most of my summer with them haha. The best part about my summer was really just going to Vancouver. After the convention, I really did got involved more in the church and they placed me into bigger responsibilities in the church like becoming a worship leader. I have to lead the band and everyone in the church into worship and sing lead.

vancouver, BC trip 2011

So I just came back from BC yesterday and may ii say that I had so much fun there. The reason I wentt on that trip was for a youth convention. What happens is that people in the same church as I am from all over the world come join together and unite as one. I got to meet people from Australia and Italy. Also from france and norway, so that was pretty cool because I can talk to them about the gospel in different languages.I got to get a free tshirt and bracelet. I can't say that it changed my life, but it really did change my perspective in life.after the convention , I had 4 more days in BC so I enjoyed it by shoping and going to fancy restaurants with my CYN family. CYN stands for Christian Youths for the Nation. They are. Young Christians like me . (:

If i were an animal, I would be a dog because...
I would be the bestest, best animal friend any owner could ever have (: I would always obey my owner by sitting whenever they told me to and cuddle with them whenever they are down. If any dog wants to bark at me, I would bark twice as loud and intimidate them and be inferior! I would always run around and sometimes drink out of the toilet when I feel like it. I would also sneak out of the house whenever I want to find my friend and then come home without them suspecting a thing. Furthermore, I can also be the cutest little dog in the world. All the humans adore me and the dogs would be jealous. Haha.

Dear Mr.Hainstock & class,
Hi, i just finished going to Arts in the Park, and it was actually pretty fun. That was my first time experiencing something like that. Cute kids were watching us and kids our age from GC. We had a good amount of audience. and our performance was really good. But since the stage was really small, we were all squished with 60 people . Haha. Overall i had a good day. It was a really good day to be outside as well. My friends and I walked around and took pictures. Once we got back to school, we went to the caf and bought Taco Fries. yum. Then I went to my last class, gym, and played a game i dont know . haha. Its like baseball tho. Now tomorrow im going back to Arts in the Park for Vocal Jazz, i cant wait !
